Ето човека нищо ново не е измислил а само си е отварял очите докато бил в друг град и копирал бизнеса.
Продал \"бараката\" отишал на евтин наем и открил бизнес.
Just 10 years ago commercial and industrial laundry expert Kim Caron was traveling in Oregon when he bumped into a fellow who was in the logo floor mat business.
\"They were basically indoor billboards for companies, and I quickly thought: \"Gee, if he can do it, I can do it,\" says Caron, who honed his skills in Winnipeg before moving to Calgary.
With that, Caron returned home, persuaded his wife Shannon to sell their home, moved into low-rental housing in a poor district, and set up a business.
Today, Executive Mat Service Ltd. has 3,000 customers, operates in a 24,000 sq. ft. facility with computerized cleaning machinery.
IMPRESSIVE
Yet what is even more impressive about Caron\'s business is how commercial and industrial mats are not the dingy grey traditional in the industry.
Executive\'s mats feature brilliantly colored images of animals, tourist scenes, cars or other products, even people. They come in custom-made sizes from 2-ft by 3-ft to 6-ft by 20-ft.
\"Anything you want on a mat you can have,\" he says as his displays a mat featuring Labatt\'s various beer offerings.
Caron, now 44, designs or processes the mat images on his own computer, and then sends them to Milliken Carpet in LaGrange, Georgia, where they are produced.
Executive Mat Service -- www.executivemat.ca -- will clean a company\'s mats on a weekly, two-week or monthly basis. Since there are usually two copies of each mat, a company is never without its personalized floor covering.
With Caron\'s success, it\'s little wonder he has just been recognized with the RBC Small Business of the Year Award.
He says 90% of his cleaning business involves mats, 5% industrial towels and 5% overalls. His equipment takes so many solvents out of the mats, they provide the energy to operate his machinery.
Executive recently opened a branch in Edmonton, with Caron\'s first ever employee, Dave Hum, running the outlet and cleaning operation.
Immediately on starting up his Calgary business, Caron says he hopped in his car and started knocking on doors. His very first customer is still with him 10 years later.
