Medical exam requirements for permanent residents

You must pass a medical examination before coming to Canada. Your dependants must also pass a medical examination even if they are not coming with you.

Applications for permanent residence will not be accepted if that person’s health:

is a danger to public health or safety; or would cause excessive demand on health or social services in Canada.

The designated medical practitioner does not make the final decision. Citizenship and Immigration Canada will make the final decision on whether or not you have passed your medical examination for immigration purposes.

The visa office will tell you in writing if there is a problem with your medical examination.

Every applicant for a Canada Immigration Visa and some applicants for temporary status in Canada are required to undergo a medical examination by a medical officer.
Though medical examinations are generally confined to a standard physical exam including blood and urine tests and x-rays, prior medical records as well as the applicants' mental state are examined.

Applicants may be denied a Canada Immigration (Permanent Resident) Visa solely on medical grounds, if:

Their condition would endanger the health or safety of the Canadian population at large; or
Their admission might cause excessive demand on existing social or health services provided by the government. *


When determining whether any person is inadmissible on medical grounds, the medical officer is obliged to consider the nature, severity or probable duration of any health impairment from which the person is suffering as well as other factors, such as:

Danger of contagion;
Unpredictable or unusual behaviour that may create a danger to public safety; and
The supply of social or health services that the person may require in Canada and whether the use of such services will deprive Canadian nationals of these services.

* The excessive demand component is waived under the Family Sponsorship category of Canada immigration for the spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner and dependent children of the Sponsor. The Sponsored person(s) still may be refused if their condition is considered to be a danger to Canadian public health or safety.

In certain circumstances, an individual who does not meet the Canadian medical requirements may be granted a Temporary Resident Permit (TRP) to enter Canada.

Искам да питам някой знае ли колко време след прекарана пневмония, на Ro снимката няма да се вижда?

Искам да питам някой знае ли колко време след прекарана пневмония, на Ro снимката няма да се вижда?

Аз съм боледувал преди повече от 15 години, но на снимката имаше следи от пневмонията.

Сега след 15 дена трябва да правим новата снимка и се чудя дали няма да ни накарат да правим новаа след още 3 месеца?

Прекарана пневмония пречка ли е? В крайна сметка почти всеки е преболедувал поне акто дете пневмония...
Добре, че спрях поне цигарите...

Не е пречка просто на снимката се вижда като петно, което наподобява туберколоза. Ако се усъмнят те карат да правиш изследвания на храчка, което отива повече от месец и след което повторна снимка.

Аз питам за болен към момента и запазен час след 15 дни, а не някога боледувал. В смисъл, 4е може и да не е излекуван в момента на снимката, не знам какво ще се случи.Ми на нас ни искат изследвания на храчката и сега ще ги носим те са отрицателни.

Не би трябвало да има проблем при условие че пробата е отрицателна, но по точно ще намерите отговор в клиниката.

Писах мейл на др.Савчева, но не ми е отговорила.А за вторите прегледи трябва ли да званя в МОМ?

Един съвет от мен! Когато се отнася за вашето здраве, най-добре е да се обръщате към съответната институция, те най-добре знаят. По-горе (в началото) съм добавил линк към многопрофилна болница "Вита".
