Bloomberg: Bulgaria with the Cheapest Fuel in the Whole EU

The lowest gasoline price is in Venezuela and it is just 1 US cent per liter of A-95. Iran ranks second, the fuel there can be bought for 28 cents, followed by Kuwait with $ 0.35 per liter. The most expensive one is in Hong Kong, where the liter costs $ 2.10.

Bulgaria has the cheapest fuel in the EU with an average price of A-95 of $ 1.33 per liter, which means the country ranks 25th in the world.

It is most expensive to fill the car tank in Hong Kong, where the liter costs $ 2.10. In the Accessibility Index, however, our country lags behind all European countries, even those outside the EU, and ranks 53th out of a total of 61 countries. According to the agency, the average Bulgarian should spend as much as 5.46% of his daily wage of 24.26 dollars in order to afford a liter of petrol.

Lithuanian-Bulgarian Electric Car Sharing Service Spark Enters Romanian Market

Spark, a new car-sharing service, entered the Romanian market offering local customers electric cars to drive themselves and use over the desired period of time, Economica.net reported.

Spark was set up in Lithuania in 2016 by Lithuanian entrepreneurs, after which the Bulgarian entrepreneurs joined in 2017.

Customers are charged per minute, under s system similar to that used by electric scouters rental services.

The company also operates a network of electric car charging stations (Eldrive), which it might deploy in Bucharest as well.

According to the description on the official Facebook page, Spark Romania is an "alternative transport service." ”A car-sharing application focused exclusively on electric cars. The Eurogroup Discuss the Bulgarian Candidature for Eurozone Membership

The Bulgarian candidature for eurozone membership will be discussed at a meeting of Eurogroup finance ministers. The point has entered the last minute on the agenda. It is envisaged that ministers will discuss Bulgaria's progress in relation to its desire to join the ERM II. The currency mechanism, which is referred to as the waiting room, or the eurozone training room, is the first step towards the adoption of the euro.

The Bulgarian authorities have set themselves the goal of simultaneously entering into close cooperation with the European Central Bank (the way non-eurozone countries enter the Banking Union) and the currency mechanism in July 2019. Before that the country had to make a number of legislative changes and the ECB started to check up six Bulgarian banks. Now, however, the target "Bulgaria's entry into ERM II" is shifting to the autumn.

The Eurogroup finance ministers will also discuss the third monitoring report on Greece. It is not related to the decision on possible measures to curb the Greek foreign debt.
